From Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Services (TEJAS):
Mi Estimado Amigas y Amigo, Judy, Donna, Stan:
It has taken me awhile to give thanks and express my gratitude to the Environmental Support Center, its Executive Director Judy Hatcher, its staff Donna Muñoz, and its outreach individual Stan Johnson because it has been very difficult for me to let it sink into my thoughts. It is a death in a metaphorical sense, in that it is a tremendous loss for those of us who hung on to them for almost all of our survival needs, and we will miss you very much.
I, along with my son Lucas, and the numerous volunteers who have set steps in our office will never forget the generosity and willingness of the ESC staff and Director to provide us with the technical support, video equipment, computers, cameras, and those unmeasurable genuine elements of caring and giving to those most in need.
I wish I could tell you how many minds and hearts we have been able to contact, to relate to, and to connect with because of the technology donated to us, which in today's age is a necessity; a necessity that is now void, lost, and gone.
I am and will remain forever grateful for everything donated to us, but the most important, and that which, even as the doors are closed, and of which cannot be taken away from any of us, are the friendships developed. You could not have picked a better group of classy, personal, and professional staff to manage the ESC. I thank you and know well that while you are out there somewhere, we will run into one another again. "It is better to give than to receive," and what an example you set.
Thank God for your blessings.
con amor y carino
