It was the rarest of opportunities on the web. Click a link for the chance to win an iPad, and there were actual iPads backing up the deal!

In late summer, the Environmental Support Center conducted a brief self-administered online survey of environmental justice groups around the country. To encourage participation by the deadline of October 15, we conducted a drawing to give an iPad 2 to four of the groups that completed the survey.

The lucky winners receiving an iPad were:

• Educating Communities while Healing and Offering Environmental Support (ECHOES) in Flagstaff, Arizona.
• Bay Area Healthy 880 Communities in San Leandro, California
• Connecticut Coalition for Environmental Justice 
• The Newtown Florist Club in Gainesville, Georgia

Everyone at the Environmental Support Center is grateful for the information we received from all the groups who took time to answer the survey. Thank you for your help in putting together a picture of what is going on in environmental justice at this moment.
